Oro Valley, AZ -- Anita L. LaRaia, a self styled, progressive and world famous wine consultant will begin offering a new, innovative wine course on line this summer. Ms. La Raia is the creator and instructor for the dynamic web class that will be offered via global, live instruction and revolutionary technological breakthroughs at www.CorporationCampus.com. The class will not be another run of the mill “web class” that is sold online.
Ms. La Raia’s wine career began in London, England where she worked for one of their largest wine stores, and received a Certificate from the Wine & Spirits Guild. In 1978, Anita established Le’cole du Vin, “The Wine School” of Atlanta, GA, and has taught over 2000 wine classes in the last 23 years. The school has graduated thousands of students to date. Ms. LaRaia also taught for 10 years at Oglethorpe University and has been an Instructor member of the Society of Wine Educators since 1978.
As the Wine Editor for Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine, Anita wrote a series of wine feature articles in every issue for 5 yrs. from 1993 to 1997. Anita also had a monthly wine column in Atlanta magazine for three years from 1990-1993. Then, from February of 1999 to June of 2000, Anita wrote a monthly wine column called “Wine School” for the Atlanta Wine Report. For the last two years, she has published wine articles in Beverage Media Holiday Guide to Good Hosting (2 million copies of which are distributed yearly). In 2000, she will publish two wine articles for their nationwide Beverage Journals and two wine pieces with photos for the acclaimed Wine Enthusiast magazine. Ms. LaRaia has also sold 180,000 copies, to date, of her popular “Contains Sulfites” pamphlets to wineries, and received national press coverage for it.
Her Basic and Intermediate Wine Courses have been approved by the American Culinary Federation for 24 CE Hours for Chef Certification and Renewal, and these courses will go on-line at www.CorporationCampus.com starting on 31 July, 2000.
Anita has both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Social Psychology from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. She is 1st generation Italian-American, and a member of Les Dames d’ Escoffier and the National Writers Association.
From December of 1999 through April of 2000 Anita was the On-Line Wine Expert for both the CNN Network and Foodvision.com web sites.
The www.CorporationCampus.com website has stated that the Distance Learning Center will offer many certification classes through it’s strategic alliances and partnerships. It has been the single largest “dot.com” to link numerous professional culinary associations worldwide and to do so at no charge to the associations. While typical corporations attempt to align themselves with professional culinary organizations, President and CEO, Raymond Kerege states “we do so without our hand in the pocket of the cook, chef, restaurant manager or owner -- as we are honestly interested in growing the field of dining, serving and cooking, worldwide.”
Culinarians hit the www.CorporationCampus.com website because they are offered unique and financial benefits free. Advertisers realize that the site holds legal contracts with professional associations that have made it the largest directory of verified and listed cooks, chefs and culinarians in the world. The website backs up these massive and questionable claims with detailed, extensive and documented resumes of each listing, not the casual name and address method listing, of all other culinary websites in the world.
